Voyage data recorder, or 'black box' Highlander HLD-S2 is a simplified version of VDR Highlander HLD-B2 - S-VDR (S-VDR). During the voyage Highlander HLD-S2 writes the data coming from radio navigation devices and CCTV cameras. Simplified voyage data recorder (S-VDR), as determined by the requirements of the IMO Performance Standard MSC.163 (78), a simplified version of VDR for small vessels with the ability to record only basic data.
